APS hardware is designed to stand up to the rigours of operating in the harsh mining environment. We design and assemble our own hardware to exacting standards needed to withstand the heat, dust and vibration found on typical large mining machines.
Hardware Developers
One of APS’s strengths as a Machine Guidance Specialist is its involvement in the development of GPS based machine control. As a driving force in the industry APS is in the unique position of being able recognise needs in the field of 'high end' machine guidance and be proactive in the development of dedicated products.
Customisation
APS can prepare custom hardware and software for specialist machines. For example, in 2006 we completed installation on a bucket wheel excavator at TRUEnergy’s Yallourn Mine. The system precisely finds the location of the lowest bucket teeth, enabling the operator to dig level benches to design.
